Governor Nathif Jama, a champion of decentralisation, expressed his jubilation at the ceremony. He sees municipalities like Bura as vital catalysts for attracting investors and donors, boosting urban development, and ultimately empowering local communities.

The newly sworn-in board, led by Chairperson Mohamed Gabow Kharbat, will now tackle crucial tasks like managing waste, fostering sanitation and water access, and overseeing infrastructure development.
